"Large Scandinavian Dining, Conference Or Even Office Table Circa 1960/1970"
Here is a table model that has become emblematic of the design of the 1960s/1970s in recent years. This is a Scandinavian work characterized by its beautiful functionality, its refined design and its careful manufacturing quality. This model presented is rare in this configuration (oval top). Indeed, it is out of the ordinary due to its measurements, nearly 3 meters long (extensions installed) by 120 cm wide, enough to accommodate between 12 and 14 guests. Without extensions, this beautiful table measures 180 cm long, so can accommodate between 8 and 10 place settings. The second rare specificity of the model presented for sale is its veneer wood. Indeed, this model is often made of teak wood, this one is made of rosewood veneer, otherwise more precious. The table has been completely restored (stripped, sanded) and refinished with a slightly satin Osmo hard oil (nearly 10 coats). This table is therefore in impeccable structural and cosmetic condition. The slides accommodate the two fifty-centimeter extensions, each sliding smoothly, the metal tenons inserting to the millimeter and the base, which doubles to completely open the top, is perfectly stable. The eight closing flaps are present and functional. Here is a piece of furniture in keeping with the times, practically perfect after its restoration and in a precious wood finish, all for a competitive price compared to its low-end teak counterparts.
