Large Intense Blue Dish Of The Vieillard Firm With Atypical Shape ⁰

Exceptional dish from the Vieillard earthenware factory in Bordeaux.
Exceptional in more ways than one :
- due to its dimensions, 45.5 cm long, 35.5 cm wide at the tips and 33.5 cm in the middle,
- due to its shape inscribed in an oval but moving in concex and concav curves,
- due to its colours turning from intense blue to attenuated blue.
The decoration is abundant with twisted twigs and foliage highlighting alternating pansy and morning glory flowers.
The bottom is covered with the famous three-crescents signature.
The dish is in perfect condition, we will just note a slight barely perceptible lack of color on a tip and a small enamel defect on the reverse side of the underside (see photos).
