Wooden Table Display, Napoleon III Period - 19th Century

Wooden table display or Napoleon III black lacquered wooden servant. Representing a Nubian with outstretched arms, carrying a serving tray (24.5 cm x 14.5 cm) with a small chain. The character's face expresses a broad smile and a lively look. His eyes have been covered with meticulous glass capsules, so as to give them a sparkle... almost existence. The teeth are made of bone. His skin is ebony black and his hair is short, curly and frizzy. The man is dressed in shorts that seem light and fluid. His feet and torso are bare. His only accessories are a pair of hoop earrings and a necklace around his neck. To be restored (see photos). This original display can find its place on a console in an entrance hall and bring a little touch of exoticism.
