Brooch composed of a large cameo on agate, Napoleon III period, French work. Large cameo in ribboned agate, dating from the 2nd half of the 19th century, Napoleon III period. Very beautiful large cameo representing a young woman in the antique style with a hairstyle sprinkled with flowers. The profile turned to the right, this young woman is sculpted in a large layer of white agate standing out against a background of brown agate. The realization is of great finesse of execution and the face is remarkably executed with multiple details: the ear pendant, the pearl necklace, the hair. The setting is in 18 carat yellow gold (750 thousandths), the cameo is in closed setting and a domed surround on which a delicate niello work has been carried out.
