HUSSAR SABRE, model 1777, Revolutionary manufacture from 1792-1802. 29096 Brass mount, single-branch guard, long-tailed cap. Wooden handle covered in brown waxed calfskin. Curved blade with hollow sides, width at the heel 3.6 cm, total length 87.5 cm. Scabbard entirely in steel with two bail bracelets, protruding cup entrance. France. Revolution. Very good condition, interesting scabbard typical of Revolutionary manufacture but in an unusual version, entirely in steel.
