"Large Model Of Vase Called "de Mariée" With Golden Decoration In Old Paris Porcelain"
In a very Louis XV style, this porcelain vase from "Old Paris" is a model that is called "bridal" although its large size suggests that it was found rather in a church sacristy than under a bridal glass globe. Moreover, the gilding on one side is partially erased which indicates that it was certainly placed in front of a portrait of the Virgin and very often touched as a sign of devotion.
