Elegant and rare Napoleon III era Sterling Silver and Vermeil Ice Cream Set. The set is comprised of 6 Ice Cream Spoons with intricate openwork handles decorated with scrolls / leafy branches and flowers, and atypical spoons of cut-out shape in Vermeil (Gold on Silver). Finesly crafted from the highest quality silvery, each piece is punched with the Minerva 1st Standard (.950) Hallmark, and mark of Master Goldsmith Jean GRANDVIGNE (Hallmark with the initials "JG" and a vine stock) received in 1868 who mainly worked for Gustave ODIOT in the realization of his important orders.
