Satsuma eggshell porcelain service with hand-painted and gilded decorations representing scenes of Japanese characters and landscapes, Comprising: a teapot (height 20 cm) a sugar bowl (height 16.5 cm) a milk jug (height 15 cm) a pie dish (diameter 21.5 cm) six tea cups (height 5.5 cm diameter 9.6) Ten saucers (diameter 14.2 cm,) six dessert plates (diameter 18.5 cm,) a large bowl (height 8 cm diameter 15 cm, very small star below see photo) in very good condition, almost never used work from Japan end of the Meiji period (1868-1912) all pieces are signed, below.
