Exceptional ancestor of the ladies' wristwatch dating from the Napoleon III era! The rigid bracelet with hinge and ratchet clasp is entirely decorated with garlands of chiseled acanthus leaves, a blank cartouche towards the clasp. The watch, original, is attached to the bracelet by a stud and a screw whose 18-carat pink gold gripping system (tested) is articulated to fold under the watch.Safety chain in unhallmarked pink gold, tested 18 carats with a touchstone. On the winding foot and inside the second cover, crab hallmark (province 1838-1962) On the bracelet ratchet, unidentified hallmarks.
The watch works, the time is set by pressing with the fingernail on the small stud to the left of the winder and turning it.
