Spain, Toledo, 17th century taza rapier. Iron mount with filigree reverse chevron fuse and thin band with baguettes. Faceted olive pommel and prominent rivet button. Symmetrical straight quillon ending in a ball. Single joint arc with crackle type engraving. Symmetrical bowl above a ricasso shield of the solid steel blade with remains of gilding of the ricasso. 4-sided blade with fine grooves at the third bearing a barely visible inscription (see photos) on both sides in baton letters "XX EN X TOLEDO X" and a circle surmounted by a sort of cross.
