"Louis 16 Coffee Table, 18th Century "
Superb Louis 16 Coffee Table from the 18th Century. It is in Marquetry of Cubes without Bottom, surrounded by Greek Fillets in Amaranth and Fillets of light wood. (in the style of the Marquetries made by Pierre Roussel ..) Its Top is in Marquetry, it is pushed at the back and we discover on the front a Drawer concealing a Writing Desk covered with a green leather gilded with small irons. It rests on 4 Sheathed Feet, covered with a Marquetry in Violet Wood, with Amaranth contours, shod with small Bronze sabots. We have not found a Stamp but it would deserve to have one .. It is certain that it was made by a Great Cabinetmaker. It is in very good condition. Its Top measures 53.5 cm x 41 cm. Its Height is 72.5 cm.
