Box of twelve silver gilt spoons Engraved guilloche model with scroll decoration Goldsmith's mark: PB and a duck. Master goldsmith: Philippe Berthier Working from 1841 to 1851 at 23 rue aux Ours, then 63 passages Beaufort and finally 21 rue Quincampoix, Paris. His first mark PB and a garden well was used between June 1, 1841 and June 28, 1845. This second mark with a woodcock was used from June 5, 1847 and re-inscribed on June 20, 1851. He was one of the greatest goldsmiths of the Second Empire. The house was taken over by Alphonse Debain in 1883. total weight of 174 grs of the spoons blackened wooden box with brass thread dimensions 19 cm x 17 cm
