Rare, superb Verneh kilim from the Caucasus. Woven and embroidered wool on wool. The piece is made up of two panels joined and sewn, a distinctive sign of most 19th century kilims. Extremely fine and refined weaving. The piece is supple and light, great art. The indigo blues are sublime, deep and luminous. The patterns are embroidered over the entire surface.
