The depth effect is accentuated by the thickness of the frame. Beautiful leaf gilding, old mercury mirror, old background. Real lace sculpture, completely out of the ordinary. The vines are religious symbols in reference to immortality, eternal life, fertility, knowledge. The dove of the Holy Spirit, the chalice, the cross, the Bible reinforce the religious references.
