Elegant pair of porcelain incense burners from Meissen marked on the bottom with the initials AR "August Rex" HELENA WOLFSOHN from the second half of the 19th century mounted on a gilded bronze mount. Cylindrical in shape, the lid has a rosebud-shaped handle decorated with animated Saxon landscape scenes. Central body with polychrome decoration in the round depicting animated Saxon landscape scenes of banks on one side and animated Saxon port landscapes on the other side. The two incense burners are mounted on a rich and elegant gilded bronze mount with handles that end with lion heads and a foot entirely worked with plant motifs with a sphinx figure corresponding to the four small feet.
