Fall Winter 1967 Paris Collection Evening dress by Yves Saint Laurent Haute Couture (attributed to) from the famous Fall Winter 1967 collection. Long jewel dress with a pinafore cut, crew neck, short sleeves and zip in the back. Powder pink embossed silk satin with a wave effect from Maison Abraham. Embroidery of rhinestones, glass beads and pearl beads, in a radiant sun from the neck to the shoulders and in gradient to the waist. Zipper, original hand-sewn pink French zip. The original lining is also in pink silk taffeta, revealing a claw mark the size of that of Yves Saint Laurent Haute Couture (see last photo). Its attribution is made thanks to a similar model entitled Fastes du Soir, Yves Saint Laurent published in L'Officiel, Winter 1967, whose model was Kecia Nyman and this dematerialized visual will be transmitted to the buyer. The cut and style are definitely Haute Couture with many hand finishes. No dirt or holes. Note very slight discoloration under the armpits only visible on the inner lining, and a few very rare missing pearls. No other flaws to note, the whole is in good structural condition. The state of conservation is good to very good. Dimensions: Equivalent size 36 France. Shoulders 39 cm, chest 88 cm, waist 76 cm, sleeves 16 cm, hips 87 cm, height 128 cm. Model cataloged and exhibited in France during two exhibitions dedicated to Yves Saint Laurent in 2022 and 2023. This jewel dress is remarkable for the purity of its shapes and the richness of its embroidery. It is designed to give both an impression of simplicity and majesty. In order to lengthen the silhouette, Yves Saint Laurent composes his model with an empire waist and a slightly flared long skirt. The rigidity of the fabric, signed Abraham, allows the modeler to translate the strength and simplicity of the couturier's line into a result of great architectural rigor that can recall the work of Balenciaga.
