Pair Of Italian Reliquary Monstrances - 18th Century

Resting on a tripod foot, our monstrances present a large central cartouche, protected from the profane world by an angel on earth and a second on heaven. In carved, gilded and polychromed wood, they are topped with a fire pot, a fire that signifies His presence. They each hold delicately bagged relics surrounded by a gold and pearl canetilles assembly.
For the first, bagged ex-ossibus relics of Saint Cecilia are honored.
The relics of Saint Vitalis Martyr, of the house of Saint Mary Magdalene, of the house of Saint Martha and finally of the door of the Holy Sepulchre, accompany the second of our reliquaries.
The seals are probably under the wooden shutter at the back that I did not want to damage for the purposes of investigation.
Good condition - partially regilded.
