"Commander Gustave Osmont Oil On Panel Circa 1900"
Oil on panel depicting Commander Gustave Adolphe Osmont (1853-1912) in uniform around 1890. Belonging to the 1st regiment of foot hunters, he took part in many battles, notably during the Franco-Prussian conflict of 1870/71. Among other distinctions, he received the Legion of Honor and the Military Medal. This portrait is signed lower right (not deciphered) and is kept in a wooden and gilded stucco frame.Good condition,
