PEWTER PITCHER with a flared foot, straight goblet and acorn thumb.
Control mark: crowned C / CAVDEBEC / 1691.
Mark of Pierre II DELAMARE received master in Rouen before 1703: two crowned facing birds / PDL
Height: 23.3 cm.

CAUDEBEC-EN-CAUX, Around 1700

The control of 1701 is known to us, this pitcher was therefore made between 1691 and 1701 In very good condition, clearly hallmarked and of rare provenance.
This small Upper Normandy center produced little. A few examples are kept at the Hôtel de Ville museum, one of a baluster shape and the second of a shoulder shape of the same type as the one presented here.
