Vase With Butterflies By Paul Nicolas, By His Hand, Er Daum Galle d'Argental

Beautiful and rare butterfly vase painted by the hand of Paul Nicolas (1875-1952). A real collector's item for this finely hand-enameled vase, by the glass artist himself, at the end of his life. There are very few examples of these pieces. We know more about his engraving work on the Saint-Louis pieces (signature of Argental). A friend of Emile Gallé, he produced pieces with great engraving finesse. It is decorated with 11 multicoloured butterflies! We find a very similar piece exhibited at the Musée d'Orsay. Vase signed "Paul Nicolas Nancy" in black enamel, I obviously guarantee its authenticity. 12 cm high, around 1945-1952. This vase has been restored at the neck because it is notable and unique. The price obviously takes this restoration into account. It is nonetheless a real collector's item, rare. Made by the hand of the artist!!!!
