André Aleth-Masson, great ceramist of the 20th century. Pitcher called "cocotte" with its 5 cups in glossy black enameled ceramic, circa 1952. Height of the pitcher 20cm, signed Masson at the base. Our pitcher, typical of the creations of the 50s, is to be compared to the works of Georges Jouve or Denise Gatard at the same period. It was created during the artist's first years in Paris, a period during which he met André Borderie with whom he would collaborate for many years.
