This lithograph “Les Aspects de la Nature - La Mer” is signed Henri Rivière at the bottom left. The work is authentic and old. For the condition, note in the margin small tears (at the top 0.5 cm and at the bottom 0.7 cm), fold marks, small ink lines and small stains in places. On the lithograph, we report tiny small stains. The lithograph is very fresh in color, once framed most of the defects will be barely visible. Sold as presented. Henri Rivière (1864-1951) is a French painter, engraver and illustrator. He began his career with drawing then with intaglio engraving and specifically etching in 1882. At the same time he began a career as a director and scenographer, in 1886, of the shadow theater at the Chat Noir cabaret, shows that he improved by creating very innovative color sets. He then devoted himself exclusively to painting and engraving and made his mark in the history of etching, printmaking, woodcuts, lithography and watercolor (he painted about a thousand watercolors).
