"Large Porcelain Dish "imari" - Japan, Meiji Period"
Superb Imari porcelain dish, characteristic of Japanese production from the Arita kilns. This refined polychrome decoration combines floral and landscape motifs, alternating between deep shades of cobalt blue, red accents and touches of gold. The organization of the decoration in radiating panels highlights the richness of the ornaments, typical of the porcelain exported from the port of Imari until the beginning of the 19th century. The elegant and harmonious composition, mixing stylized nature and traditional motifs, testifies to the exceptional know-how of the artisans of the Meiji era. In perfect condition, this piece of great finesse constitutes a precious testimony to the art of Japanese ceramics and a superb decorative element for collectors and lovers of Asian art.
