"Opening Writing Table Second Half Of The 19th Century"
Elegant writing table for the center entirely veneered in rosewood. This refined piece of furniture stands out for its arched band and slightly curved legs, enriched by feet decorated with bronze details that further enhance its preciousness. The writing table is equipped with a pen holder with inkwells, which can be opened via an elegant sliding mechanism. The top, covered in original leather and with a flap, hides a compartment ideal for storing papers. In addition, the top is removable and features a sophisticated veneer in ebonized wood and rosewood, with geometric motifs, which opens to reveal a perfect surface for playing backgammon. Florentine manufacture, from the second half of the 19th century, probably attributable to the famous craftsman Giuseppe Agostini.
