Oil on hardboard 45 cm x 25 cm signed and dated lower right Ljuba Petrovic 1975 representing a Serbian village under the snow animated by characters in the foreground. Sold with invoice-certificate. Painting in good condition some microcracks but the painting holds well to the support.


Yugoslav painter born in 1928. Painter of composition with characters, animated landscapes, lithographer. Naïf.
Agricultural worker and town hall official, he began to draw above all, then to paint his leisure moments, quickly taking a place among the very rich school of naive Yugoslav painters.
In the eighties, he exhibited in Paris at the Salon International d'Art Naïf.
He painted scenes of rural life and its distractions and drawing takes an important place in his painting.
