Bronze sculpture with green patina, on a portor marble base, executed by Fred Focht. Active during the Art Deco period, mainly during the 1920s-1930s. He is known for his bronze and spelter sculptures, often dynamic and inspired by themes related to speed, aviation, and modern mythology. This sculpture is typical of Art Deco, a movement that glorified progress and energy, and characteristic of Fred Focht's style: an athletic male figure, in motion, appearing to spring forward on a stylized base evoking speed and elevation.
