Zacharie Baton was a painter born in Arras in 1851 and died in 1925. He studied at the Julian Academy with Gustave Boulanger and Jules Lefebvre. He was known for his Breton landscapes and exhibited at the Salon from 1883. He was a member of the Union artistique du Pas-de-Calais and the society of Friends of the Arts of Douai.
