Authentic Bosco baton made of whalebone, weighted with lead and covered with a braid in "matelotage" The bosco is a master of the naval crew (18th and 19th centuries), he maintained discipline and cadences with authority and sometimes helped himself with his cudgel (baton)... without going so far as to smash his sailors... It comes from Brittany, but I don't see the connection... 21cm long and 3cm in diameter
