"Large Bi From The 1870s-1880s"
Large iron bi from the 1870s-1880s. Handlebar height 142 cm Large wheel diameter 122 cm Small wheel diameter 32 cm. The bi is a type of bicycle that has a very large diameter front wheel and a much smaller rear wheel. The advantage of the large front wheel is to increase the distance traveled for one pedal revolution. The bi appeared in 1871 and was very popular among athletes during the 1871s and 1880s, but was relatively little used by amateurs and the public because of its dangerousness. Note that the rubber tire is missing from the front wheel and that the rear wheel is damaged. A spoke is detached from the large wheel and the brake cable is missing.
