Large Provencal Landscape Les Dentelles, Oil On Canvas From The Mid 20th Century By Franklin Roudybush

This beautiful painting from the middle of the 20th century is a framed oil on canvas representing a field flooded with golden yellow sun with graphic furrows giving depth and perspective in an atmosphere of a sky animated by small luminous clouds; a representation of the beautiful Drôme Provençale where the olive trees punctuate the landscape with their contrasting silhouette, in the distance the little mountain of the Dentelles de Montmirail and in the distance the peak of Mont Ventoux on the left at dawn blued by the mist of an autumn afternoon, the chain of small mountains closing the landscape for all horizon. A beautiful and spontaneous work from the 50s by the Parisian Painter traveling in the south, leaving his studio at 15, Avenue du Président Wilson Paris 16th; label FRANKLIN ROUDYBUSH, on the back. A painting inspired and clearly influenced by the Master of all: Vincent Van Gogh, a technique where we find the codes of the wonder of color and the vigorous touch well in paste of an Impressionist representation which deviates still towards another evolution, in search of new sensations, of a very powerful emotion and at the same time full of sincerity and research of the "effect" of light on grandiose nature.
