"Pair Of Plates Decorated With A Qilin And A Fenghuang - China 18th Kangxi Period"

Set of two porcelain plates with Famille Verte/Imari enamels, decorated with a Qilin and a Fenhuang among bamboos, prunus and we seem to distinguish a pine tree in the middle of the two plants. We cannot help but notice the symbolic representation of the "Three Friends of Winter".

his is not strictly a pair due to the variations in the decoration in certain places, as well as a variation in size of around 2mm.

Diameter for one plate: 22.5cm
Diameter for the other plate: 22.3cm

One plate has chips on the edge, and the other also has fritting on the edge (photos on request). One plate has scratches in the enamel on the front and reverse, which do not go through, while the other has a scratch on the reverse which also does not go through.
