Michel KRITZ (1925-1994), painter from Loiret, this artist studied at the École nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris before setting up his studio on the Butte Montmartre then in Clichy (92) and finally in the Montparnasse district. A lover of color, he was passionate about representing bouquets of flowers in shimmering tones and landscapes of Provence bathed in sunlight. A member of the Salon des Indépendants, he exhibited there many times and was noticed very early on by art lovers. This superb work, an oil on canvas from the early 1970s, depicts a landscape of the Alpilles, between the Luberon and the Camargue. Work from the studio funds kept by the artist until his death and which he did not want to part with, which is why it is not signed. A certificate of authenticity will be given to the purchaser.
