Japanese short sword, Aikushi, shirasaya blade, NBTHK certificate
Japan Edo period (1603-1868).
Steel, wood, lacquer, braiding, silver.
Length of cutting edge (Nagasa): 22 cm
Nakago: 8.5 cm - Blade weight: 110g

Hira Zukuri straight blade; suguha hamon. Double throats and orimono representing the Ken, symbol of the Fudo Myoo deity. Attributed to KANESADA, Shinshinto period.
Kuri-jori-type Nakago.
Silver Higo-habaki.
Wooden sheath (saya), lacquered with brown highlights, featuring an anemone flower with golden heart.
Koigushi, Kojiri and kuri gata in suite, iron, silver with architectural motifs.
Tsuka in wood, covered in white shagreen, with intricate braiding.
Fushi kashira en suite, iron, silver with architectural motifs.
Menuki en suite, foliage motif.
