" Stone Head Of A Woman, 16th Century"
- Head of a woman in limestone dating from the 16th century. This work of sculpture, of great delicacy, immortalizes with nobility the face of a young woman imbued with sweetness. This is evidenced by the finesse of its features corresponding to the aesthetic canons of classical sculpture; an oval face with regular features and tapered at the chin, wavy hair styled and raised, a smooth continuity between the forehead and the nose, a thin and straight nose, thin and hemmed lips slightly separated to show an animation. The skill of the sculptor is distinguished in the details that breathe life, such as the slightly separated lips revealing a discreet dentition and signifying an animation.
- Good state of conservation, erosions and stains are to be noted (see photos). Drilling, old trace of plinth.
