"Le Creusot: Charles X Period Vase In Cut Crystal, Mercury Gilded Bronze Mount"
Beautiful crystal vase cut with diamond points, finely chiseled gilded bronze mount on the base and neck. Production of the Creusot factory, Charles X Restoration period, early 19th century around 1820. Taken over in 1804 by Jean-François Chagot, the Creusot crystal factory became a royal crystal factory again under the Restoration (Louis XVIII and Charles X). This period (1814-1830) was the most prosperous for Le Creusot. Its high-quality production earned it several gold medals at the Exhibitions of Industrial Products. The crystal factory produced many chandeliers, vases, lamps, clocks, as well as a multitude of small crystal objects such as bottles, carafes, goblets, glasses, egg cups, mustard pots or bowls. Large format, very decorative. Our vase is in perfect condition. No accidents - including on the diamond tips which remained intact, a fairly rare occurrence - beautiful, very fresh gilding, the crystal has remained clear and shiny.
