Baluster-shaped pewter PITCHER, with a short foot, a spout with sides and a buttress, a raised lid with a flat roof and a straight thumb rest.
Hallmark affixed twice by Antoine Joseph CHUFFART received as a master in 1780: crowned rose / AIC
Clear hallmark of F.BOULANGET.
Height: 21 cm.
LILLE, First half of the 19th century


It is not very rare to see the hallmarks of two different masters on the same piece. This indicates either the association of two workshops or a transfer. Here, the pitcher casted by AJ CHUFFART was subsequently countermarked by F. BOULANGET
In good condition, a consolidation of the lower attachment of the handle and the lid is noted and visible in the photos
