"Ibeji Yoruba Statuette"
Ibeji statuette, made of wood with pearl necklaces, representing the cult of twins among the Yoruba of Nigeria. This female statue has a characteristic style (face) which indicates a provenance from the Ibadan region. She wears sandals as well as two triangular amulets (back and pectoral) which are signs of belonging to a royal family. The object has a beautiful and deep patina of use, a sign of its antiquity. The object is authentic and has no restoration.
