The vegetation is particularly successful on this canvas, both in its hues and its shapes. A large tormented sky, where there are a few small patches of blue sky, completes this scene.
The work is signed at the bottom right, in the darkest part. The artist's name is also reproduced on the frame, on the back.
The work is clean. There are cracks and a restoration on the back. The work is offered in a frame from the early 20th century, in good general condition (no losses), but in need of adjustment.
This work was painted by Auguste Vyaret, a 19th century artist. His works were presented at the Paris Salon from 1838 to 1844. He is known for his seascapes and rural scenes.
