"Small Wooden Chest-bench Shaped Like Books"
Wooden chest-bench, made in Venice in the 18th century, designed to resemble a stack of piled-up books. It measures 55 cm in height, 48 cm in width, and 35 cm in depth. The "books" are embossed on both sides, creating a very distinctive three-dimensional effect. Entirely made of wood, it is covered with a thin layer of plaster and then painted. The only modern alteration is the replacement of the legs and the lower part of the cornice.
