Ferdinand III (1608-1657) was elected King of the Romans in 1636, and later became Archduke of Austria and Holy Roman Emperor-elect. The busts are finely carved and decorated with decorative details, including garlands and allegorical figures. Each bust has a small medal inlaid on the chest, adding a distinctive element to the ensemble. The carved bases feature fine ornamental work, reinforcing the noble appearance of the pieces.
