"Lacquered Secretary Decorated With Chinese Motifs, Louis XVI Period, Attributed To Dusautoy"
Elegant commissioned secretary, in black lacquered wood and lightly embossed decoration in the style of China and Coromandel lacquers, it opens on the front with a flap revealing drawers and lockers, and in the lower part with a drawer, resting on high arched feet. Period gilded bronze trim and period veined grey breccia marble, the original shape of this pretty secretary suggests that it is a commissioned piece of furniture. It is rare to find this "kind" of furniture that has never been "touched" in its original condition and never restored!!! It should also be noted that there are small accidents and some missing lacquer, a nice provenance... this piece of furniture can be attributed to Dusautoy 1719 1800 received as master in 1779
