Beautiful large key, early 17th century, recognizable by its open pierce bit, 4-tooth comb on a flared muzzle and the base nicely turned into a round capital. Classic French wedding key.
This one, a thick flat ring cut 5mm thick, saw pierced, has a central heart, surrounded by two archangels' wings, above two round wedding rings, and, amusingly, topped with an open purse, enhanced with engravings.
