19th Century Silver Metal Reliquary - 9 Sacred Relics - Small Portable Oval Shrine

Reliquary in silver-plated brass, 19th century

Beautiful reliquary in silver-plated brass from the 19th century, presenting refined and careful work.
Under a protective glass, the nine relics are arranged with their inscriptions on a fabric background, surrounded by silver threads and highlighted by a delicate decoration of paperolles.

This reliquary contains several sacred relics composed of Ex ossibus, Ex pelle, Ex piliis and Ex tela, carefully identified and preserved.

On the back of the reliquary, held with threads, an episcopal wax seal authenticates the whole, thus guaranteeing the integrity of the holy relics.

Height 8.6 cm

Condition: Good general condition, with slight wear of the silvering due to numerous handling and tiny traces of oxidation. The threads and the wax seal are intact. Beautiful original patina.

 A rare and precious object, ideal for collectors and lovers of sacred art.
