Signed lower right, good condition Emile Chaperon Émile Chaperon, born in Paris on March 17, 1868 and died in Confolens on September 26, 1946, is a French painter and decorator. Son and student of Philippe Chaperon, brother of Eugène Chaperon, he exhibited at the Salon des artistes français in 1910-1911, 1913-1914 and 1928 of the Interiors of churches. He also took part in the Salon d'hiver, the Salon de l'école française and the Salon des indépendants (1929). He also created decorations for the Opéra, Français and Odéon theatres.
