"Louis XIV Period Walnut Cabinet From The South Of France"
Important and beautiful walnut cabinet, walnut burl veneer and blackened wood, opening on the front with two doors, revealing boards, two drawers in the belt, it rests on a beautiful turned base of eight ringed and sphere uprights joined by three X-shaped spacers with three spinning tops, the front decorated with heart-shaped and lobed cartouches and on both sides an arch motif. These fairly "rare" cabinets are also called cabinets in wardrobes, to place precious linen, dishes or glassware, we find this type of production in the Rhone Valley, at the Hache or in the South of France where this beautiful and rare piece of furniture comes from, with a very deep and warm walnut. Most of the cabinets are decorated with drawers and or theater inside, the cabinet models are much less "common" Beautiful and generous in its proportions
