ENGLISH SURGEON'S CASE, Second half of the 19th century. 27552 Large walnut case, length 51 cm, width 28 cm, H 12.5 cm, with corners reinforced by brass corners and rods, brass lock stamped with the English crown and the initials "GR PATEN", lined with yellow velvet and containing around forty surgical instruments on two levels: saw, knives, scalpels, forceps, needles, scissors, loops, trepanation instruments, etc. Almost complete. Some tools are marked "FVANS" or "IVANS" or "S. MAW & SON LONDON". United Kingdom. Second half of the 19th century. Fairly good condition, case with cracks and some missing parts, missing key, interior lining exposed with traces of oxidation of the instruments, some instruments with oxidation.
