Oil on canvas depicting the banks of the Marne animated by boats with a village in the background, signed lower right M Grieux for Maxime Grieux and dated 1933. Maxime Grieux is a French artist born in Meaux, he is a painter of landscapes and more particularly of the Marne. From 1931, he exhibited at the halls of artists and independents of Paris. Preserved in a wooden frame and gilded stucco.
