Julien GIRARDIN (1824-1896) https://artlorrain.com/julien-girardin Painter of genre, landscapes and flowers, he was born in Plombières in the Vosges in 1824 and died there in 1896. He exhibited at the Salon of 1854 a View taken in the Vosges, purchased by Prince Jérôme Bonaparte. Settled in North Africa from 1862, he specialized in genre painting of oriental inspiration. He participated in the Paris salons from 1855 to 1869 and exhibited there a Bouquetier, Moors, a Country of Thirst (1866) acquired by the Epinal Museum, and landscapes.
