"Paris 1799-1809, Solid Silver, Covered Bowl On Its Frame, Jean François Carron Bouillon"
Very elegant covered bowl or bouillon on its display or sleeper, dating from the First Empire period. Often offered at weddings or baptisms, this one is undoubtedly a wedding gift given the presence of two doves lovingly admiring each other around the archer and Cupid's arrows. Master goldsmith's mark of Jean François Carron, already a master under the old regime. And Parisian guarantee mark called "au premier coq" for the period 1799-1809. Weight 900 grams. The lid and the sleeper are engraved with a pretty coat of arms of a member of the Forest de Gesmeray family.
