Important night light in monochrome porcelain with white enamel, Louis Philippe period around 1840, Limoges factory, a similar model kept at the Adrien Dubouché museum, representing a Mamluk. The Mamluks are the members of a militia formed of freed slaves, in the service of different Muslim sovereigns, a militia which has held power on numerous occasions. Missing a finger.
